The idea of blessing biscuits came to me while eating fortune cookies. I thought it was a great idea to help my kids learn about gratitude and blessings. It’s also a family activity that comes in handy when we can’t be outside.
Here’s a step by step guide with photos.
Have each child write on small pieces of paper things and people they are thankful for. It can also be people they want to pray for.
Wrap notes in foil.
I use store bought refrigerator crescent rolls. Place the foil wrapped notes in the center of each roll and wrap them as instructed.
Bake as instructed. The Littles always watch the biscuits cook. They love to watch them ""grow"" plus it provides lots of time for great dialog about why we do this.
Serve with Jelly.
It’s fun to open up and discuss our blessings. We post these to a cork board in the kitchen to remind us to be thankful and pray for people on the papers.
